Town of Oyster Bay Summer Recreation Program

Mail-in registration. Registration applications and information can be obtained by calling 797-4125. Completed
applications need to be returned with proof of Town residency (tax bill, utility bill, etc.), copy of child(ren)’s birth certificate, check or money order (no cash). Children must already be four-years-old at the time of entrance into the program.
Schedule: 9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.
No supervision is provided between 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Children must be picked up.


Massapequa School District’s Summer Recreation Program 2015

All Recreation Programs are open ONLY to residents of Massapequa Union Free School District 23 and are contingent on the passing of the school budget. If you are a Resident of MSD 23 and your child attends a private school, you will be asked to prove residency if you haven’t already done so. Please see below for a Proof of Residency Packet.

Recreation Programs

  • Summer Recreation Program for Grades K-6: Each Massapequa elementary school offers a summer recreation program for children entering grades K-6 in September. Activities include outdoor games daily, group parties, music, movies, sports, arts & crafts, talent show, arts & crafts exhibit and weekly trips.
    • 2015 Summer Recreation Online Employment Application Process (College Assistants, Leaders & Volunteers) begins Monday, January 12th and ends Friday, March 20th. Click here to fill-out an application.
  • Teen Center Summer Recreation Program for Grades 7-9: The Teen Center Program is held at the Ames Campus – includes game room, sports, indoor & outdoor activities, arts & crafts center and weekly trips.
  • Summer Sport Camps for Boys and Girls of Various Ages: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Field Hockey, Football, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, Under the Lights Basketball, Volleyball and Wrestling. All participants must pay a registration fee to attend the camps.

Nassau County’s Summer Recreation Program 2015

Registration is now open.
Runs from June 29th – August 6th

Operates in four County Parks:

  • Cantiague Park Hicksville
  • Eisenhower Park in East Meadow
  • Nickerson Beach Park in Lido Beach
  • Wantagh Park in Wantagh

Ages: 5 to 12
Children are separated in the following categories: early childhood (5-6); juniors (7-8); intermediate (9-10); and seniors (11-12).

Parents can choose between two sessions for their children: either 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Range from $700 for one child for the shorter session to $850 for the full-day session, with discounts available for both sessions for additional children from the same family.

Registration Deadline is May 29, 2015.
There is a registration fee of $25 for returning campers who register by March 1, 2015, and a registration fee of $50 for new campers (regardless of registration date) and returning campers who apply after March 1, 2015. Registration fees are not refundable. If all final payments are not received by May 29, 2015, your spot in the program may be lost and the registration fee will not be refunded.

In addition to 45 minutes of open swim time at three of the parks, other activities include: arts and crafts, board and recreational games, Quick Start Tennis, 1st Tee Golf, and sports such as baseball, basketball, flag football, golf, Kan Jam, soccer, tennis, volleyball, and wiffle ball.

Town of Oyster Bay’s GAP Program

The Town of Oyster Bay Group Activities Program, GAP, is a social and therapeutic recreation program that was developed to meet the needs of residents who are mentally challenged, developmentally disabled, or learning disabled.
Summer programs include
Evening programs (age 16+)
Day programs ages 5 (Kindergarten
eligible in September) through 21, Monday
through Friday for approximately 6 weeks –
10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
